Participate in the Happiness Challenge: Why should we care about happiness? Did you know that happy people are 12% more productive and take fewer sick days than unhappy people? Starting on February 1st, this 30-day challenge will provide you with a daily task that will help you think of new ways to increase your happiness. Winners will be entered in a drawing for a $200, $100, or $50 Amazon e-Gift Card.
Pick the Theme Contest: Can you think of a great theme for our 2021 Employee Wellness Program? Last year’s theme was “S.P.A.R.K. – Strive, Physical, Attitude, Recreate, Knowledge!” Submit your ideas and if your theme is picked, you will win a $50 Amazon e-Gift Card! Send your submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, January 15th. Everyone will have a chance to vote for their favorite theme the week of January 18th and the winner/theme will be announced in the next Monthly Happenings email.

Health Coaching: Sign up for telephonic health coaching on Wednesday, January 20th, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm MST. Schedule your appointment HERE. Choose “AURA – Health Coaching” and the date and time that you prefer. Once you have completely filled out your information, you will receive an email confirmation and appointment reminder. Coach Kelly will call the phone number you enter when you schedule your appointment so please be sure to enter the contact phone number where you will be available on the date and time of your appointment.
Health Coach Led Activity: Join Coach Kelly virtually via Zoom (Password: AURA1) on Wednesday, January 20th, 1:00 – 1:30 pm MST to learn simple bodyweight strength exercises that can be done before, during, or after your workday to energize and tone your muscles.
WELCOAZ Webinar: Join us on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 12:20 pm MST for the Wellness Council of Arizona’s Webinar on “The Kaizen Method.” Register HERE. Instead of aiming for huge, drastic changes, what if you aimed to find small changes or actions you can make starting today. Small, continuous actions are the foundation of habits that stick. Einstein once said, “Compounding is the greatest mathematical discovery of all time.” The Kaizen Method is based on this continuous improvement. In this presentation, you will learn how you can improve a little each day by setting goals with the Kaizen Method.
Quarterly Presentation: Join us on Wednesday, January 27th from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm MST for the quarterly Wellness Presentation on “Ways to Boost Happiness in Everyday Life” presented by Coach Kelly via Zoom.
