To continue to keep health and Medical information safe and secure, we will be enhancing the security of our website, eBenefits, to include multi-factor authentication (MFA) on February 26, 2022.

Multifactor authentication is a security technology that requires multiple methods of authentication from independent categories of credentials to verify a user’s identity for login. The goal of MFA is to create a layered defense that makes it more difficult for an unauthorized person to access information – in this case, an eBenefits account. MFA can reduce security breaches by up to 99.9% over passwords alone!1MFA is used broadly across the internet in nearly every industry today, including banks and financial services companies, social media and email platforms, as well as globally by healthcare providers and healthcare service companies.

Additionally, this change will make it easier for you to reset your password without needing to call Customer Service for assistance.

Please note, you do not need to reregister. The first time that you attempt to login after go-live, here is what will happen:

• You will login with your username and password.
• You will see the screen below, notifying you that a verification code was sent to your email address.
• You will enter the verification code within the verification box within 15 minutes. If you cannot complete within 15 minutes, click the “Resend validation code” link to receive another code.
