2018 Open Enrollment for AURA Retirees
AURA Human Resources is pleased to announce our annual Retiree open enrollment period runs from November 15 - November 30, 2017. Your changes will be effective for the January 1–December 31, 2018, plan year.
The deadline to submit changes is November 30, 2017.
Retiree Open Enrollment is the one time each year when we announce benefit plan changes and monthly premium rates for the January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018 plan year. Retiree Open Enrollment offers retirees a once a year opportunity to change benefit elections for the upcoming year if you have moved into or out of the state of Arizona, waive coverage, add or drop coverage for a spouse or eligible dependent child(ren).
If you have questions, need to make changes to your insurance coverage, or want to receive more information about any of the plans, please contact the AURA Human Resources Office at (520) 318-8409 or send an email to email@example.com.
If you are currently enrolled in the AURA Retiree Medical Plan with Cigna and do not need to make any changes for 2018, you do not have to take any action. Your 2017 benefit elections will continue in 2018 at the new premium rates.
You are invited to the AURA Retiree Open Enrollment meeting on November 17, 9 – 11 AM at the Lovitt & Touche Learning Academy at 7202 E Rosewood, Suite 200, Tucson, AZ, 85710. For information on how you may join the meeting via phone or from your computer, click here.
In 2018 the following plans are offered to retirees:
Medicare Eligible Retirees and spouse and age 65 and over
CIGNA Medicare Surround
Non-Medicare Eligible retiree/spouses and dependents
CIGNA Arizona OAP
CIGNA Outside AZ OAP
CIGNA High Deductible Healthplan - Arizona
CIGNA High Deductible Healthplan - Outside AZ
Prescription Drug Coverage & Medicare Part D
Your Certificate of Credible Coverage for Medicare Part D was mailed to you on October 14, 2017. You do not have to enroll in Medicare Part D if you remain enrolled in the retiree medical plan. The current prescription drug coverage offered through the CIGNA plan is, on average for all plan participants, expected to pay out a least as much as the standard Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage will pay. Because your existing coverage is on average at least as good as standard Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, you can keep this coverage and not pay extra if you later decide to enroll in Medicare Part D coverage.
All retirees/disabled retirees and dependents covered on the retiree health plans that are eligible for Medicare must be enrolled/enroll in Medicare Part A and B and should provide a copy of their Medicare card to AURA Human Resources upon enrollment.
If you are entitled to Medicare, Medicare is your primary source of coverage. The retiree medical plan is secondary. When submitting claims to CIGNA you or your provider should include a copy of the Medicare Explanation of Benefits with the claim form.
Keep Us Up-to-Date
Please remember to keep your current contact information including mailing address, phone number, and email address up to date with AURA Human Resources and to notify us of changes in family status that may affect your benefits. If you are interested in being added to our retiree email list please send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
